Paideia’s Math Team Starts Off Season Strong
The Paideia math team’s 2025-26 season is off to a nice start! The team recently competed at the UGA High School Mathematics Competition in Athens, finishing 24th of 93 teams, the team’s best result at UGA in many years. The overall score included contributions from seniors Maxim Slopsema and Alex Slopsema, juniors Catherine Luo and Biel Gili Harik, and sophomore Murphy Mullins. Maxim and Catherine both scored over 100 points in the individual competition, and the team ranked 11th in the collaborative portion. The team hopes to build on this momentum in upcoming contests like the Kennesaw State University Mathematics Competition and the Rockdale Mathematics Competition. Way to go, Pythons!
