Events and Organizations
Events
Paideia is home to many community events and organizations that allow our families to feel connected. This connection is a wonderful way for our parents and caregivers to grow their network. We understand it is important for you to be a part of your student’s life both on and off campus. The best way to do that is to jump in!
Eat Lunch with Your Child
Eat Lunch with Your Child is a big hit with children and their parents. Getting together for this midday meal is a highlight of Paideia’s action-packed fall season. The lunch proceeds benefit financial aid.

Fall Barbecue
Family and friends love to gather on campus for Paideia’s annual barbecue. This feast is a great chance to eat, drink, socialize and connect. There is nothing like a cool autumn day complete with live music and games for the kids.

Grandparents & Special Friends Day
Welcoming Grandparents & Special Friends to Paideia each year is a “make you smile” event. From the tiniest Half Day student to the almost-graduate, the kids love showing off their school to their special visitors.

Pi Party
Get ready for an incredibly fun, adults-only party thrown to benefit financial aid. With a new theme each year, this night out gives the Paideia community a chance to get together, let loose and celebrate. Come join us for the party – Pi Party, that is.
Affinity Groups
The Paideia community is a beautiful representation of our diverse city. Our families are encouraged to join one of many groups representing their experience or identity.
Campus Organizations
In addition to helping in the classroom, there are many ways to support Paideia with your time or talent. Volunteering around campus provides a unique glimpse into your student’s school life and allows you to connect with the community.
Classroom Help
On any typical day, you are likely to find parents around campus helping out in various ways. Every class is different and teachers choose to ask for parents’ assistance in different ways.
For younger students, parents might help out by playing math games, listening to early readers or simply having lunch with the kids while the teachers are meeting to compare notes with other teachers. Older kids tend to have less need for “in class” time but teachers still appreciate drivers for field trips, shoppers to fill occasional special needs and help with the annual auction fundraising project.
Paideia has engaging traditions associated with every grade level. A faculty/staff favorite are “teacher appreciation” breakfasts or lunches hosted by parents. So find your favorite recipe for an egg casserole or, even better, learn to cook large quantities of bacon in the oven.
