The Paideia Cross Country Teams Qualify for State

Cross Country 2023

At the Region Championship meet on Thursday, October 26, the Varsity Girls Cross Country Team won, the Paideia Boys Varsity Team took 2nd place and both teams qualified for the State Championships on November 3.

The Python Varsity Girls were led by Sisi Elkinson, who was 3rd place overall. Two of her teammates joined her on the top ten podium,  Caroline Struby was 6th and Kathryn Hales was 8th. McKinley Hales, Madeleine Moon-Chun, Baikal Miller and Alex Huynh rounded out the team.

Four of our Varsity Boys scorers were in the top ten and on the podium. Owen Tobias led the Pythons, finishing 5th, followed by Krish Leveille (6th), Matt Walton-Scott (9th) and Raja Hofmeister (10th).  Ben Walton-Scott was our fifth scorer, finishing 11th.  Emerson Green and Tobi Ciho completed the Varsity Boys team. 

We are very proud of all of our athletes, and we are now headed to the GHSA 1A Division 1 Cross Country State Championships to be held at 10:30 a.m. (boys) and 11:15 a.m. (girls) on Friday, 11/3 in Carrollton, GA.  Please come to cheer on the Paideia Cross Country Team!
