In January, students gathered in the Art Lobby to explore the power of creativity and diversity. Stephanie Brown, our 2024 Cecelia Caines Artist-in-Residence, spoke with Gavin Godfrey ‘02, the Atlanta Journal Constitution’s Diversity and Culture Writer, about amplifying diverse voices through art and media. Stephanie shared her artistic journey and discussed how art can be used to spark conversations about important issues. A Day of Service on Campus

The third annual Alumni Service Day was one to remember! This special day fostered community engagement, togetherness and social responsibility. Thank you to Junior High and High School families for your clothing donations to the Gateway Center, an incredible organization whose mission is to make homelessness rare, brief and non-recurring. We are so grateful to our alumni classes '78-'21 who came out to assemble snack packs with Elementary students on Friday, November 3, 2023. Congratulations to the Alumni Advisory Council (AAC) on planning this amazing day of service with our community!

Visit with Representative Inga Willis '94

During a Monday Morning Meeting in October, we had the honor of welcoming Representative Inga Willis '94 back to campus. Inga spoke with High School students about her experience as a Paideia student and how it prepared her for greatness. During her talk, Inga encouraged students to appreciate the unique learning opportunities available at Paideia and to use what they learn to not only be active and informed citizens, but also to be leaders and game changers in our world. Inga also presented Head of School Tom Taylor with a resolution commending the Paideia School for "its many wonderful contributions on behalf of the youth of this state." Thank you for speaking with and inspiring our students, Inga!

Paideia Alumna Atlanta Business Chronicle's 40 Under 40

Congratulations to Dr. Zerita Buchanan '06 on her 40 Under 40 nomination from the Atlanta Business Chronicle! Troubled by the statistic that African-Americans make up 13.6% of the US population, but only 3.8% of the dental workforce, Dr. Zerita C. Buchanan launched the “Dental Dreams, LLC - Dental Assisting School” to further diversify the dental workforce and provide under-represented minority students with the economic mobility needed to apply to dental school.

On July 5, 2023 we welcomed Tom Taylor as Paideia's new Head of School. Tom comes to us from the Riverdale Country School where he served as the head of their upper school.
