Tuition and Financial Aid

We recognize that paying for a Paideia education is a considerable investment for all families.

We work hard to steward our resources to support as many families as possible through our Financial Aid program. Over the years, Paideia has evolved from a small school inspired by educational idealism into a major institution with a strong record of accomplishment and community support, still practicing the core beliefs of the founding generation of teachers and parents.

Financing an independent school education is a significant investment in your child’s future. The cost of educating a student at Paideia – with our personalized attention, stellar faculty, and myriad opportunities beyond the classroom – is substantial. We recognize that the tuition and fees can feel prohibitive to many families, and we are committed to making Paideia as accessible as possible.

At Paideia, we value a school community that includes students with various economic backgrounds. We award over $3 million in financial aid yearly to approximately 15% of our families. Financial aid awards are extended to families of various income levels and circumstances, such as middle-income families, families with relatively high income who have multiple children in private schools, and those whose financial circumstances qualify them for an award equal to 99% of the cost of tuition and fees.

Many factors determine financial aid awards, such as household income and expenses, assets and indebtedness, and the number of children attending tuition-charging schools and colleges. Because individual family financial circumstances differ, the calculation of need will be unique to each circumstance. Given the many variables that affect an award decision, it is impossible to accurately predict a family’s financial aid award based solely on family income.
