Track & Field Set New School Record at State Championship

Boys State Track Relay Team 2024

This weekend, ten Paideia Track & Field Athletes earned a total of 14 State medals at the 2024 GHSA 1A-D1 Track & Field State Championships!

The Paideia boys 4x800m relay team (Raja Hofmeister, Ben Walton-Scott, Krish Leveille and Owen Tobias) finished 4th with a time of 8:11.91, setting a new school record! The previous record was 8:14.33, set in 2021 by Sam Colton, Cole Harper, Ian Hodge and Elijah McCauley.

In the boys 3200m race, Matt Walton-Scott took 5th with a PR of 9:52.52. Krish Leveille took 6th with a time of 9:56.52. In the boys 1600m race, Ben Walton-Scott took 5th with a PR of 4:30.24. Owen Tobias took 7th with a time of 4:31.09. In the boys 800m race, Owen Tobias took 8th with a time of 2:03.24

Girls State Track Relay Team 2024

For the Paideia girls track and field team, the girls 4x800m relay team (Sisi Elkinson, Alex Huynh, McKinley Hales and Caroline Struby) finished 4th with a time of 10:29.20. In shot put, Callaghan Finnegan took 7th with 35-5.

Collectively, we brought home 14 State Championship medals, achieved two PRs, and set one NEW SCHOOL RECORD! 

 We could not be more proud of their efforts and of the efforts of our athletes who did not make it to state but none-the-less made tremendous progress and showed terrific spirit all season.
