On Friday, November 3, the varsity boys and girls cross country teams competed at the GHSA 2023 State Cross Country Championships in Carrollton, GA. Out of 30 qualifying teams, Paideia varsity boys were runners-up. The girls placed 3rd out of 24 qualifying teams. This was the highest placing the boys have ever had in Paideia history and the Pythons tied with the best overall combined finish for Paideia boys and girls cross country ever (last year, girls were 2nd and boys were 3rd)! We also had three team members earn all-state recognition by placing in the top ten in their races, Sisi Elkinson (7th), Owen Tobias (7th) and Krish Leveille (8th).
In addition, due to their excellent season and performances at several large Invitationals and at the 2023 GHSA State XC Championship, the Boys Varsity Team has been invited to participate in the 2023 GA High School Meet of Champions, a race that provides the fastest runners in Georgia an opportunity to compete against one another regardless of school size and Classification.
Congrats on this huge win and a great end to the season!
