Paideia is a K-12 college preparatory school in the Druid Hills area of Atlanta. The junior high school enrolls 180 students. The junior high school curriculum consists of extensive offerings in English, social sciences, mathematics, modern languages, natural and physical sciences, art and music. Class size averages fifteen students.
This full-time position includes teaching the first level of Spanish and French over a two year period, weekly faculty/department meetings, and participating as a full member of the school community. Faculty members create courses for a 3 week long short term at the end of the school year. Some faculty members choose to act as a student activity sponsor or coach one of the many school sports teams.
We are looking for a dynamic educator to join our student-centered learning community. The position requires flexibility and confidence to teach Level I of Spanish and French.
Ideally, applicants would have a degree in Spanish or French. While Masters level is preferred, it is not required. At least 3-5 years of teaching experience is also preferred.
