Paideia is a K-12 college preparatory school in the Druid Hills area of Atlanta. The high school enrolls 460 students. The high school curriculum consists of extensive offerings in English, social sciences, mathematics, modern languages, natural and physical sciences, art and music. Class size averages fifteen students.
This 3/4 - time position includes, academic advising for 8 -10 high school students, weekly faculty/department meetings, and participating as a full member of the school community. High school learning specialists work with students individually and in groups to support their learning and development, confer with faculty members on issues of pedagogy and student support, and work with families to identify and implement accommodations inside and outside of the school setting. This position requires a full understanding of educational testing as the reading of these reports and dissemination of the information is imperative.

The position requires flexibility and confidence to interact with faculty, parents and students cooperatively to identify issues as well as solutions. Applicants must have a 4-year degree. A degree that emphasizes the child development and the learning process is preferred as is a Masters level degree. At least 3-5 years of school experience is also preferred.
