37 Paideia Students Win Scholastics Arts and Writing Awards

Thirty-seven Paideia high school students were awarded gold and silver keys and honorable mention by the regional 2020 Scholastic Arts and Writing program.  Students received 17 gold key and 22 silver key awards for art and photography and 29 honorable mentions.  Paideia students received 10 awards for writing including two gold keys, four silver keys and four honorable mentions. For the fifth year, Paideia students won the most gold key awards in the state for photography. Gold key award winners will advance to the national competition in New York in June.

A junior high student also won two honorable mentions in the 2020 Scholastic Arts and Writing Awards.

Varsity girls' basketball player Christina Walker was named to first  team all-region team.

Varsity boys' basketball players Joe Elston, Micah Eisen and Amien Hicks were named All-Region honorable mention.

Mock Trial Team Wins Regional Competion
Mock Trial Team Wins Regional Competion

The high school Mock Trial team won the Regional competition at Dekalb County Courthouse to advance to Georgia District Championship. Athena Assikis and Kaiya Patel won Best Lawyer Awards and Ryan Eiler and Anna Claire Shuman won Best Witness Awards.

Paideia Students Selected for All-State Orchestra

Jordan Leslie ’20 and David Chung ’22 were selected to participate in the Georgia All State Orchestra in Athens, Ga. on March 5-7. Jordan will  play  second chair cello in the 11/12 Full Orchestra. David will play violin in the 9/10 Full Orchestra.
