The Importance of Parent Involvement
Paideia is more than a school for children; it is a community for families. Paideia was founded by a group of parents and continues to encourage and support the active involvement of all parents in the life of the school. When parents share their knowledge and talents, they help create a more enriching environment. Through the involvement of many, the quality of the programs at the school is greatly enhanced.
There are many ways to get involved at Paideia. Parents help in classrooms, serve on committees, share skills and interests with students, perform in the talent show, raise money for financial aid, help students with service projects, and contribute food for many occasions. Parents have fun together as they help at sporting events, theatrical performances, concerts, the fall barbecue and square dance, and the spring auction. The list goes on and on.
You'll get a feel for the energy and excitement that makes Paideia special when you walk across campus and participate in the hubbub of the school. Volunteering at Paideia is a great way to get to know the faculty and staff and your child's classmates and see the school in action. Significantly, you'll also get to know the parents of your child's classmates. These connections and friendships will serve you well the entire time your children attend Paideia.
