The program recognizes Atlanta area students under the age of 20  for their extensive community involvement.  The volunteer work cited for the Paideia students included collecting 2,500 books for a rural community library, raising $2,700 through a swim-a-thon for childhood cancer research, running a toiletry drive for a shelter for homeless teenagers and organizing the library and tutoring students at an independent school for refugee teenage girls.
