Service Learning

Service learning in the junior high occurs primarily as homebase class projects, both episodic and long-term. Some classes have regularly scheduled service off-campus with long-term partner agencies; others develop projects in response to student interest, current events, or curricular connections. Projects may involve community-based work around Atlanta or advocacy on campus. During the May short term, students often have the opportunity to select service-intensive courses offered by faculty members.
