Service Learning

Service learning in the elementary school occurs primarily as class-based projects, both episodic and long-term. Project duration ranges from once a year to every day. Some upper elementary classes leave campus for on-site service with partner agencies; lower elementary classes mostly develop projects that they can complete at school. Students also have monthly opportunities for afterschool service projects with the Paideia Action Committee, led by parent volunteers.
