Back To School Night 2013
Posted April 30
Alumni and alumni parents dusted off their backpacks for this year's Back To School Night on April 17th. There were over 100 participants who registered for a variety of courses such as drawing with Ginger Birdsey or breeaking codes with Dave Fergemann. Everyone had a great time especially our alumni. Elizabeth Cogburn '05 writes, "I really enjoyed going to Back to School Night! It was fun to go to Ginger's drawing class. I took art classes from Ginger most of the time I was in high school, so Back to School Night was a nice opportunity to catch up with her. I also enjoyed meeting some alums who I had not met before. 2nd annual Basketball Alumni Night

Great turnout for the 2nd annual Basketball Alumni Night at Paideia. There were two really exciting games played by the girls and boys teams. Both teams defeated their opponents in front of packed house that included over 30 alumni. At the half time of both games, alums took their half court shot at winning the grand prize. Andrew Diggs '07 and Emily Mast '11 were the victors! It was great seeing everyone! Click here for pictures.

The History behind the Race
Nine years ago, Sean Dammann '88 and Vance Burgess '88 with a few other alums came together to lead an effort to raise money for financial aid, a program near and dear to many. After considering several different types of fundraising ideas, the consensus was to go with a fun run/walk. And so, The Slither was born. What started out as a small endeavor is now a beloved annual event. The Paideia community, alumni, alumni parents, current parents and students along with other runners from the surrounding community gather every year on the Saturday before Thanksgiving for a fun run/walk for a good cause. We now have over 20 sponsors led by The Law Offices of Timothy A. Baxter and Ackerman & Company, who proudly place their logos on the official race t-shirt. Kegs and Eggs, a new tradition, marks the many efforts of all alumni involved with a post-race celebration .
